Try your hand at yurt making

Located south of Lake Issyk-Kul is the small village of Kyzyl-Tuu, where almost all the villagers are engaged in the manufacture of yurts. Kyzyl-Tuu is a convenient stop en route back to the capital from either Son-Kul Lake or the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.

During the visit, you will meet some of the locals and witness a demonstration of yurt construction. You will learn about the materials used to make a yurt, what each of the different elements are called, and how the yurt is assembled. You may have the chance to get hands on and assist your hosts to assemble the yurt.
